Woyww #189 Brr & Pink

Good morning fellow WOYWWers, what a difference a7 days make, above is a pic of my first Camilla flower this year, taken on the 3rd of Jan.  due to my pic problems last week unable to upload.
This is this morning outside my french doors, very frosty as I don't get snow often, abit on Monday for an hour...Its very frosty and minus 5 degrees...BRRRRRRR
And this is my desk this morning after the night before.  I'm upcycling an old canvas, I regessoed to get rid of the awful colour I had put on before .  not that you can see there is some texture from the stuff I ripped off. I then used Distress stains to cover over the gesso, then sprayed with Dylusions  for the effect I have at the moment.  The card is one I'm working on, not my normal stuff but for the shop. The stamp is a B. Line one I have taken off the wood.  And looking at the pic I realised that it was very PINK..  If you wondering what I'm talking about shoot over to Julia's for the details.  Happy Wednesday  and if you are in the cold hemisphere keep warm!!

  3. Pink like the beautiful camellia - you were influenced without even realising it!! I'm going to follow your example and your advice from before Christmas and paint over the top of the canvas I made and hated!! Time - I'm freelance, and I've no work for these couple of weeks - then a frantic February, and so it goes!! Thanks for your visit and happy WOYWW!

  11. How lovely to have such a perfect flower at this time of year. My Camilla is much later. There is not much peeking it's head out in the cold at the minute. We had -10 last night, a tad chilly!!!!!!
Your up cycled canvas is looking great, I love those colours. Have fun with it.
    Happy WOYWW

  13. Brrrrrrrr...it sounds very chilly! OK, down right cold! lol You asked what time I got up to get my #15 spot...well, I just go to bed late as I read and if I get engrossed in a book then I'm up when Julia gets up! ☺ Anyway, loving the canvas that you are reworking! ♥ waving hi from the soggy laden hills of North Carolina :)

  16. Very nice flower pic! I love the waxey look of camillas but here in Oklahoma it is to cold in the winter, too hot in the summer, and too dry all the time to grow them. We are already on water conservancy and it is only January! Love the way the card and canvas are shaping up! Thanks for stopping by my desk. I love all the sharing on WOYWW and I hope you have a great week! Vickie #43

  18. I bet the colors in your garden during Spring influenced your choice of colors on your canvas. Blessings!

  21. Love how you are reusing your canvas - must blot some ugly bits out on one of mine from CHA. That flower is gorgeous and now I am wondering whereabouts you live - no snow is intriguing me.
Thanks for visiting me - Hugs, Neet 7 xx
