WOYWW- 191 I'm Late, I'm Late

I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date......Its Wednesday again and time to shoe off your desk to the world and I'm so late this week. If you are wondering what I'm talking about, get yourself over to the lovely Julia's Stamping ground for the details.  But I had a workshop this morning and this afternoon I was teaching a craft class. but now I'm back.  Plus can I welcome my new followers , Susi, Ria & Jeanna.  Not much to show on my desk as it was full of the class bits for this afternoon.  so I thought I would show one of my UFOs (unfinished Object).  I started this nearly a year ago.  If on thick book  Cut on the cover and  inside.  Be warned this takes time and many a craft blade.  Well that was as far as I got, plus colouring it orange!!  So this week pulled it out again, right off the orange so changed that as you can see  I have used fresco paints, embossed card and a stencil

Inside again fresco paint claret and nougat and abit of crackle glaze, plus stencil.  Still some things to do.  Have a good snoop everyone.

Fun with ATC Challenge 79-Celebration

This is the first time I have entered into this challenge, thought it was about time.    It is the 3rd anniversary for Fun with ATC's and their challenge is Celebration with a blog hop as well,  So I thought 3.....in anniversary themes normally mean leather, so I have made a leather handbag ATC.   The leather effect is as per Andy Skinner's Timeworn Techniques, I have added Treasure gold wax to give it depth and shine.  A screw brad for the clasp, chain for the handle and some embellishment.  So Happy 3rd Anniversary to you

WOYWW 190- Ta Dah

Its that time again, to show our desks to the world,  I have been teasing people with my project this week, but I have managed to finish just in time for today ( although I wrote this last night).

And her it is, a Hot Air Balloon.  this is based on idea I saw on the The Gentleman Crafters blog last year.  He however used a glass bauble for his base, I have used a polystyrene ball which is covered with sticky metal .  the straps are made from grungeboard and studded with buttons that look like screws. The basket is a 2ins configuration box painted and covered with destinations paper. Sandbags I made from some cotton coloured with Tea Dye stain filled with toy stuffing and tied up.  Top of the balloon is the inside of a tape machine with I have made look like rust using Andy skinner's technique.  the propeller is from a defunct Christmas ornament.  Rest of embellies made from gears and clock hands etc.  Hope you like it.   For the details re snooping get yourself over to Julia's Stamping Ground for the details.

Woyww #189 Brr & Pink

Good morning fellow WOYWWers, what a difference a7 days make, above is a pic of my first Camilla flower this year, taken on the 3rd of Jan.  due to my pic problems last week unable to upload.
This is this morning outside my french doors, very frosty as I don't get snow often, abit on Monday for an hour...Its very frosty and minus 5 degrees...BRRRRRRR
And this is my desk this morning after the night before.  I'm upcycling an old canvas, I regessoed to get rid of the awful colour I had put on before .  not that you can see there is some texture from the stuff I ripped off. I then used Distress stains to cover over the gesso, then sprayed with Dylusions  for the effect I have at the moment.  The card is one I'm working on, not my normal stuff but for the shop. The stamp is a B. Line one I have taken off the wood.  And looking at the pic I realised that it was very PINK..  If you wondering what I'm talking about shoot over to Julia's for the details.  Happy Wednesday  and if you are in the cold hemisphere keep warm!!

WOYWW#188 - part 2

My second go at a post I know a little late, previous post #58
Firstly can I thank all of you who kindly sent your suggestions as to how to sort my problem with pictures on Blogger.  My best bud Karin arrived this afternoon and has sorted . Have downloaded Google chrome as an alternative browser and its working.    Hurrah....I was so lost yesterday and last night...  Well this was my desk yesterday morning.  some rediscovered stamps which I have now taken off the wooden block and put on ez mount.    Card is a technique from the lovely Helen Chilton in a very old Craft Stamper, using glossy card and stazon and dye based ink to colour.  Then top stamped and embossed in white.
This is the result of my play date with Karin last Wednesday using the melt pot.

No Knees

Three posts in three days must be a record for me. Ha ha.
Heads, hands ,ears & toes, but no knees.  Plus no shoulders either.  This is the results of my play day with Karin.  Lots of embellishments to use later in a project.  The angel face I made yesterday from a Xmas ornament I had.  we had great fun and didn't manage to burn ourselves.
Here Karin nearly burned herself by poking the powder before it set.
This pic is courtesy of Karin, of me using up the last of my embossing liquid, it was easier puring into a cake cover, than melt pot.

New Year, new WOYWW#187

Happy New Year everyone, hope yours was a good one.  Well here's my desk for the first WOYWW of the year, I actually cleared up after yesterday's crafting, you can see the result , the Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2013 and my first full page of my journal.  I rescued the door handles from my neighbour, she was going to throw out, but they are the original Edwardian handles of the doors in our houses.  I will put them to good use.
This is my second desk for today, I'm having a play date with my friend Karin who should be her in about 5mins.  We are going to play with our melt pots...see what we can create.  To join the rest of the snoopers go along to to Julia's for details.  TTFN.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you all, on this beautiful sunny day here on the South Coast.  What a change from the last few days, nothing but rain and wind.
So I thought I would start as I mean to go on, and have created a Journal page for the start of the New Year.  this is one of the backgrounds I had prepared earlier but have finished this morning.  pretty pink for me but I wanted bright colours.

Couple of close ups.
Plus , I don't think Delilah could get any closer to the radiator.
