WOYWW #174

I have returned after missing last week's WOYWW.  I have had a bad case of the blues, but no more feeling sorry for myself, there are people worse off,  So last night following a good weekend which I will blog later, I decide to try my hand at a new journal page......  I'm not a great one for journalling inner most thoughts etc, so just laid some colour down.  Base is Dylusion spray, plus distress inks through sequin waste.  Seed pod of a bottle brush plant for the odd white bits (Fresco Paint)  Some tissue tape in the middle to hid an error......plus the new metallic distress stain Brass.  Started to stamp
with Dylusions stamps- Off the Edge I think, plus Tim's balloon.  Some more colouring in I mixed some of the Dylusion spray with fresco paint.....Still a work in progress but aleast I have started.
Couple of close ups.... to see more desks around the world, go to Julia's and have a look.

Have a good week everyone.

  1. Glad you're feeling a bit better and your page is looking good. Tissue tape is great for hiding all the unhappy bits on a page. Thanks for letting us peek in and I look forward to seeing the finished page.

  5. So sorry francesca that you have not been feeling 100% Try to think positive, but it's not easy to chase those bad feelings away they can be all consuming. Do some things you love to do and be around people that make you feel good....and eat some chocolate!!!! always helps

By the way great project, everyone seems to love those inks and stamps. Catch you next week X Julie (Paperpathway)

  6. Good to see you are journaling art helps heal and relax. I love your page and I laughed when you said you covered a mistake with tape, there is a mistake on every page in my house you just have to know where to find it. LOL

The tree still has flowers on it but not seen in this shot, but the clivias are in full bloom further in and still a beautiful window to look out.

    Happy crafting

  8. Glorious colours in the journal, I have to try this one day. I agree their are few mistakes we can't hide. I saw q quote on a blog somewhere, can't remember who said it, other than it was a 'famous' crafter, There are no mistakes in (cardmaking), only layers! Have a great week, Shaz #60

  11. And it's a glorious return... the colours and textures in this are already speaking loud and clear, and I would never have spotted the tape as an error, it looks great! Fab to have you back on the WOYWW beat (though I'm missing it this week, but only due to being away from my W)...

  16. Hello Francesca, liking the colours on your journal page! I especially like that curvy white edge - is it a stamp? Hope your 'blues' are well and truly gone, gets us all sometimes but as you say you have to keep things in perspective. Thanks for popping by to see me, Cindy x was # 46 but heaven knows where I am now

  19. Hi Francesca thanks for popping to see me. There is nothing like a bit of immersion in paint and ink to chase the blues away. It is the sign of a good crafter to make a design statement out of a mistake!! Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 65
