WoYWW #178 (Boo)
All Hallows Eve and WOYWW, its that time again. To look at other desks go over to the lovely Julia's @ Stamping Ground. On my desk is my effort following a class with a very nice man Neil Walker on Sunday at the Craft Barn. The book is made with out an glue etc, it is held together in a clever way with Bar-b-que skewers, The pages are made with 5ins cards, that have been coloured with distress inks, then stencils and stamping. I have added extra with the girls head and autumn leaves., abit of spraying. The front cover badge is made with triple embossing and stamping into it, I have added some black ink to hi-light. Now I have to complete some more pages, have a good day everyone.

Nice to find someone with almost the same name. My first name is Francisca, Franka in a shorter way. But what a great book you've made. It's a sort of art journaling only not as messy you see mostly. I like your style and the colours you've used. Well done. Have a crafty halloween. Bye, Franka #49
ReplyDeleteLove your skewer book, what fab colours you have used. Inspired me to use those colours myself. Love that citrus look.

ps were you at the Sir Tim thingy last Feb?

I'm sat reading my WOYWW blogs on my sick bed this week but have my mask on so you don't catch anything. I'm enjoying reading what everyone is up to this week [it's better than reading magazines :-) ]. I'm leaving a copied comment so you know I've called by because my hands are too weak and shaky to keep typing out my comments this week.

ReplyDeleteInteresting way of binding a book and totally eaarth friendly. Keep trying to make these little art books but they are somehow not my style so struggle with them.

ReplyDeleteYour book is really coming together. Looks like great minds think alike I highlighted my front cover topper with paint. Thanks for a great day out. Karin
ReplyDeleteGreat book! Don't you just love the vibrancy of those spray colors! I saw a pic on Neils blog about the class. Wish I lived close enough so I could attend one...maybe some day I can fly over and take a few classes! Thanks for sharing, commenting by my blog, and have a great week! Vickie #38

An amazing book deign ...and I love your pages xx#101
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning book, Francesca. I love the design and the colours, and the clever binding. Absolutely gorgeous! Also, love your kitties from your last WOYWW post - ours are the same about not cuddling up together, and I think we'd have to have an ice age for that to happen!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comment. The knitting pattern isn't that complicated really - never more than 2 colours going at once, and mostly simple geometric diagonals. Easy peasy (except when my foggy brain wanders off somewhere else and I get the diagnonals going the wrong way on the purl row lol!!)
Happy belated WOYWW,
