I must be on a roll, happily I'm posting for a 2nd week @ the lovely Julia's, where you will find all the t & C's.
Well this is my desk this morning, still very untidy , it doesn't get better with age. I found that my wet wipes had dried up' so instead of binning them , thought I would spray them! then I will have to decide what to do with them.
I have also been continued with my quilting. a lovely lady called Pat at my quilting group is showing me and several other a block a month. This is my effort for July a Dresden plate, with abit of my machine embroidery in the middle. this month it is the Drunkards Path. will show when done.
PS Mum in good health after her cruise.....Good day all.
Well that's just plain clever! tthe dry wet wipes look like fabric... And I love the colours you've used. Glad your Mum has returned safe and well!
ReplyDeleteI've found you get some wonderful patterns when the colours mixed together on wet wipes & paper towels from spray inks. Happy woyww Jill #28
ReplyDeleteLovely work, Francesca. The dried up wet wipes are stunning sprayed. Have you tried melting them with a heat gun? I have had great success melting nappy liners which are probably made of the same stuff. I never throw things like this away, and keep all my mopping-up bits of kitchen roll to make backgrounds with. Your quilting is amazing. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and your encouraging comment. I am sure things will settle down eventually, but we do seem to have been through it a bit over the past couple of years! I am hoping to make further progress on the bereavement card today, and will soon be ready to post about it.
Happy WOYWW,

I love keeping wet wipe and paper I put under card when spraying though i often swipe colour off my craft mat with card too.
ReplyDeleteThey all make great backgrounds for cards and journalling pages.
Have a good week and happy crafting, Angela x 49
Love your "wet" wipes! Great for backgrounds. I also like your Dresden Plate blocks. I did something like this years ago in shades of blue for placemats, just not as many "rays". Thanks for popping by and Happy WOYWW!

Those dry re-wetted wet wipes look amazing - just think of all the fun you can now have with them!! The quilting is incredible - not something I have ever done much of - but it looks so very good. Well done.
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Love the Dresden plate ! and the wet wipes will make great journal page backgrounds ! Ali #8
ReplyDeleteHi Francesca, happy WOYWW...great idea to recycle the sprayed wipes, and your quilting is lovely. Cheers RobynO#21
ReplyDeletehaha making something out of something you planned to throw away... sounds familiar! I have to throw out stuff fast if I decide to throw it away, else I'll think of a use for it. I don't need much excuse to play around with colour - trying out something new, which turns out kind of nice, then grab another paper/wipe/object and try again...
ReplyDeleteThe Dresden plate looks very good. I'm wondering what the Drunkards Path is?
Happy WOYWW!

ReplyDeleteDrunkards Path eh? Sounds, erm .. interesting! Look forward to seeing it, like your plate!
Hugs and thanks for visiting me, Neet 14 xx
ps most of my fabric will be in folders in colours
Nice job. I have kept them and dryer sheets to use in my crafts.
ReplyDeleteI never did learn how to sew, wish I had sometimes. And you are right, being untidy does not improve with age! lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥
