Its that time again, Wednesday, so it must be WOYWW time. For the details hop over to the lovely Julia's . This is my desk as of last night. finished the covers I started last week. If you were one of my visitors last week, you will remember that it was orange....
Well I decided to make the cover look like copper patina A La Andy Skinner's Time worn technique course, all achieved with different layer of paint and washes. I added some Treasure gold and sealed with glue n seal.
This is a 2nd cover I have done. First painted with gesso, sprayed with Dylusions purple and green. ten stenciled with distress inks, stamped with Katzelcraft stamps and Indigo Blu and stencil from Andy Skinner.
This is a charity shop bargain, 50p, bisque mask. Didn't like the painting so sanded it off and....
Voila! Nice new canvas to play with. As to the Hurrah, finally over the virus, 3 days clear now and feel that the mojo is back. Happy days.....have a good one.
So glad you are feeling back on form Francesca. Love the mask - hasn't it cleaned off well?
ReplyDeleteLove the patina look - what fabulous work! Enjoy the play!

ReplyDeleteWOW! Your work is gorgeous!! The Andy stencils are awesome!

WOW awesome mask! I love what you did with the book cover. I have a lot of stuff that would benefit from a coat of paint and making it look like weathered and old metal would be awesome. Going to have to go look this up! BTW there is Ten Second Studios that actually sells a metal based paint that you brush with a patina liquid that 'rust' or weathers the object. I did a guest DT spot with them last April. Go check out my archives and see the projects. They were a lot of fun. I didn't get around last week much so promised myself I would visit everyone that visited me. Have a great week! Vickie #26
