Sunny Sunday and Guilding flakes

On this lovely sunny Sunday, thought I would show you some cards I made yesterday at my local craft shop, (Amanda's Hobbie Hideout).  We were using Gilding flakes and Indigo Blu stamps, ( but I took some of my new stash Paper Artsy stamps.  Once you get the hang of the Flitterglue so not to get it all over your hands, please not breathing when you put the flakes on.  We all had a good time.  Wishing you all a happy Bank Holiday.

WOYWW #207- Hurrah!

Its that time again, Wednesday, so it must be WOYWW time.  For the details hop over to the lovely Julia's . This is my desk as of last night.  finished the covers I started last week.  If you were one of my visitors last week, you will remember that it was orange....
Well I decided to make the cover look like copper patina  A La Andy Skinner's Time worn technique course, all achieved with different layer of paint and washes.  I  added some Treasure gold and sealed with glue n seal.
This is a 2nd cover I have done.  First painted with gesso, sprayed with Dylusions purple and green.  ten stenciled with distress inks, stamped with Katzelcraft stamps and Indigo Blu and stencil from Andy Skinner.
This is a charity shop bargain, 50p, bisque mask.  Didn't like the painting so sanded it off and....
Voila!  Nice new canvas to play with.  As to the Hurrah, finally over the virus, 3 days clear now and feel that the mojo is back.  Happy days.....have a good one.

WOYWW #206- Paper or Fabric?

Hello to all the Wowers out there, ( if you don't what I mean for details, get yourself over to the StampingGround)  I'm back again, still not fully fit but getting there.  This is whats on my desk at the mo, started it on Saturday, going to be the cover for one of my stamp binders.  Th top with the cogs isn't finished, I have painted with a base colour, then added raised bits (ie buttons and crystals I know) and painted with Red Iron Oxide from Decoart. Not sure yet if I will make it look rusty or with a copper patina, watch space......
These are the two bits apart
This is the backer I did, in the style of Andy Skinner.  As to fabric, I have always been a traditional Embroiderer, cross stitch, canvas , Stump work, Gold work.  So when I got the opportunity  on the off chance to do a Fabric Collage class, right outside my comfort zone, I thought why not.  So did it yesterday, with a lovely tutor Jae Maries.

This piece I have called "Industry" going from light to dark, the greys being the factories, yellow pollution, and the bottom RH corner what is produced.  Its all open to interpretation.
This is untitled at the mo, fabric pieces were just dropped onto the backing fabric and I will just stitch into place.  So that it for me this week, mojo starting to return so more next week.  Please all have a good week.

WOYWW #205- Is it really her?

Yes I'm still alive, just....apologises for the lack of posting and commenting in the last 3 weeks, but I have been incapacitated.  the dreaded cold and cough virus came back with a vengeance, I was unable to do anything and unfortunately my hubby has been the same.  However today for the first time I have felt like doing a post.  Not much of one.  The first pic is of my desk as of this morning, with the last thing I did 3 weeks ago.  Basically using Paperartsey stamps, Distress inks and embossing plates.  Pull the string and the body rotates.  Due to the lack of mojo thought you might like to see my effort at Goldwork...
New to me, but again on e of the last classes I did before getting sick.  Really enjoyed it, the the mystery unravelled, lots of different types of thread and wire, basically couched down, but so effective.
To get details get blog snooping hop over to the lovely Julia's at Stamping ground.  Have a good day all.
