Workshop with Mr Holtz "Journeys of the Past"

Arrived back safe and sound from Coventry with my friend Karin, after doing the morning class with Tim.  It was a fabulous time, met some lovely people and had a good laugh, really enjoyable, so if you ever get the opportunity to take a class with Tim.. two words "DO IT"

Not only the finished article, to which I have added bingo numbers to represent the date of the class, but we were given all the stuff we had worked with, plus messager bag, apron, vol II of the compendium (signed) the one on  the pic was the one I brought with with and is now personally signed.  goodness I sound like an obsessed fan.  Now back to reality...

So to my desk this morning, not much just examples of challenges I have entered, 2 being for Fun with ATCs, the Venice and the Black,White and Red.  So to my news, I'm now a member of the Design Team of Fun with ATCs.  I was so surprised to be asked and so thrilled.  So if you have time please join us....  The tags are from my playing about before entering other challenges, one being for the Tags of 2013 with Tim Holtz.  And so to my other news,  I'm off today to Coventry with my good Karin, as we are taking a class with the man tomorrow, Yeah.....So apologises if I'm abit tardy in commenting this week .  Please all have a good day.....

FWATC-#95 Black,White and Red and News

Today is a new challenge over at Fun with ATCs and my first a new member of their Design Team...... yes you heard correctly me at DT member, I'm so proud to have been asked and hope I will not let them down.

So this is my effort, all made with Paper Artsy stuff.  Background painted with Fresco paints Black, stamped with FP Snow Flake, painted chop with Red Bus. Rub on added.  hope you like it......

Dragonsdream TIO #148 Orange, Time & Nature

I must be on a roll, 2nd post of the day.  A challenge, over at Dragonsdream TIO #148 Orange,Time and Nature.

My tag was first coloured with Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon and edged with Tea dye, for the orange section. My nature is a stamp of a tree frog origin unknown I'm afraid. Time and plants are from Paper artsy, sentiment is from Jo FY.

Fun with ATCs =#94 Die cut

The theme over @ Fun with ATC's is Die Cut.

I decided to go with a Venetian theme.  Using the Venetian Accents Spell binders I cut a mask from a venetian themed card I have had for years and the border in white card.  The background is achieved using Versamagic ink pads, I then stamped with images from Darkroom Doors Venetian stamps.  The die cut border has been coloured with the versamark inks and 3 sparkles added.  Then all put together and voila!

Tim's Tag 2013 -August

After clearing up my work room, see previous post,.  Finally found the masking sheets that I knew I had.  So was able to do my examples for the Tim's Tag 2013 - August.   To find out how go over to Tim's Blog for the details.  My first is similar, but I have highlighted my images, 2nd and 3rd are my variations, all on the theme of Travel.

sorry abit picture heavy today.......

Those of you who visited me last week, saw my shame, stuff everywhere , couldn't move, floor covered.  Ta daa, new unit in , stuff sorted and unit filled.

Nice clean floor room under the desk, one basket to sort.  could even have a small dance in the room as so much floor space.

This is my desk as of Tuesday evening 10.50pm.

I went to a class with Andy Skinner on Sunday at the Craft Barn.  although I did enjoy myself wasn't happy with my canvas as to me  it was too dark.  So I started a new one

This is the stage I'm at. After applying texture paste, paints and washes.  Still some more to do, will hopefully show you next week, now I have a lovely cleaned up and tidied craft room.

WOYWW #218- For shame

Not much to show this week, life and all this stuff is in the way.  So I am doing something about it!!  Grand clear up and a new wall unit coming in on Thursday, so I can finally sort out my stuff once and for all!!  LOL

WOYWW #218 Back again!

I'm back, after being away on a weeks cruise to Norway.  This is my desk as of last night, I'm trying to complete a ink pad rack, I'm testing out different paint effects.  plus a completed tag which I have entered into a challenge @ Dragonsdream TIO.

This is a picture from Stravanger, 3 Norse swords

This is a building in the Art Deco town of Alesund.  All the buildings were destroyed in 1913 and the town was rebuilt in the Germanic Romantic style.  Fab buildings.  Happy blog hopping and have a good day.

DragonsDream TIO #146

 Challenge this time is Stencil/Mask,paint and ribbon.

-Tag has been stencilled with an Andy Skinner stencil and one from Crafters W/shop.

- Fresco paint from Paper artsy- Nougat, vintage Lace,Irish Cream & French Roast.

-Dry brushed with French Roast and Treasure gold Royal Amethyst.
-Stamped with Vintage photo, script stamp again from PA
-Distress Ink-Vintage Photo around the Edges.
-Embellishment is some metal waste and a cinema ticket from Tim Holtz
- Plus velvet ribbon.

Abit of Trumpet blowing......

my own that is... i have been away on a weeks cruise to Norway which was fabulous.  Anyway when I got back learned that I have  come in the top Dreamboat 3 in the TIO #144 challenge Beach.




I got back on Thursday and knew i had to get ready for a local competition for the Horticultural Society in the WI category.  I entered as part of a team.  ie Cake ,a Floral arrangement and a Craft item.  This was our first ever attempt, so we were not expecting much.....WE WON !  even got a cup.

This was our entry...all based on the letter B.  the cake is a Battenberg cake and was marked 20/20.  The flowers were an arrangement with Banksia and Brouvardia and Bamboo.  Then there was my steampunk balloon, which now has a stand , from which the balloon is suspended .   We are so proud.  Thanks for looking.
