Colour me !

As I was showing on the wowers, I have been playing with my new JOFY stamps  on tags.

This one started with a plain white tag on which I stamped the flowers etc from JOFY in versemark and clear embossing powder.  Then using Distress inks spiced Marmalade and Dusty Concord to colour block then tag, edged with vintage photo.  also water coloured with the same ink to get a more intense colour on the flowers.   Die cut butterflies on card and book pages from TH mini dies. Card butterflies stamped with Paper Artsy script stamp , coloured and then covered with crackle paste and dried.  Then glued together and added to tag.  the quote is from R.H. Heinlein.  I have decided to enter this tag to two challenges,

WOYWW #194- New Stash !

 Good morning wowers, its Wednesday again time for us to show our desks to the world.  This is mine as of last night playing with my new stash!  I had promised myself not to purchase any more stamps but when I saw these from Jo Firth Young aka JOFY I just had to have them....  and so had a play last night.  Coloured some tags with Ink stains.  Then stamped images, added extra colour with my water colour pencils and highlighted with white pen.

This is a page from my 3rd journalling class with Neil Walker, hidden pockets tags and flaps.  This is the Hand of Destiny or doom , however you want to take it,  my hand although mine is not normal blue with green stops, but then again....not yet finished so watch this space.  So take yourself of to the lovely Julia's for the T & C's re snooping and have a good day :).

12 Tags for 2013 #February

Happy Valentine to all of you out in Blogland.  this is my effort for Tim Holtz 12 Tags for 2013 -February.  Get yourself over there to see.

Don't have alot of the stuff Tim used on his unfortunately, so had to improvise, best thing I think.  Tag itself is a mixture of Festive Berries and Fired Brick Distress Stains.  Added Black soot around edge.  Queen of Hearts is an actual playing card which I have distressed and made smaller to fit the design.  Black ribbon and heart buckle.  It was like the yellow one until I added Alcohol ink, Red Pepper.  Some embossed card from Tim's range Flourish , plus 3 brads. Top is a punch.  Little sentiment and string and tissue tape.. Voile la.

My second post of the day, just had to let you know I was choosen to be in the Dragons Dreamboat top 3 for my Dress to Impress Tag.   How lucky I'm I.  Go over and have a look and enter their next challenge.

WOYWW #193 Better late than never

 Good morning Wowers, this is my desk desk this morning, finally finished my glueless book.  This should have been finished last Thursday, but instead I got a stomach bug and didn't really feel like doing any crafting..  However now done, sorry but there are lots of photos.  If you are wondering what I'm on about go over to Julia's blog for details.

 The book is made up of  51/2 ins cards that I have coloured with only 3 colours of Distress  Broken china (not T. Glass as I said last week) Peeled paint and Chipped Sapphire.  I have used Distress Ink, stains and reinkers, to get various effects.

 Then used stencils to get the next layer.

 Next stamping as you wish

 Make up the pages as you want.
Pages are then bound with wooden skewers.
Then fibres wounds around to keep pages in place.  Therefore no glue.

This is the back and front of the book which I have used TH crackle glaze for another effect.  Hope you like and have a good day everyone.

WOYWW #192

 Good morning all, its that time again, to snoop around the world.  If you don't know what I'm talking about hop over to the lovely Julia's blog for all the details.   This is my desk this morning, I have started another book made without glue.  this is an idea from Neil Walker, and great fun. will post the finished article tomorrow.  so far I have been inking with Distress Tumbled Glass and Peeled Paint with a little Chipped Sapphire on the edges.  There's a new mask on the left, one of Neil's , still in its packet but I will pull it out today.
