I'm a sucker for cats as you can imagine. Didn't clear up for photo, as I went the the theatre last night to see Alan Aykbourne play Surprizes At Chichester Festival Theatre, it was good.
This is my enrty to Fashionable Stamping Challenge #28 - Summer Ice-cream Colours.
I have choosen raspberry and coffee as my ice cream colours. Background is done in Distress inks Tattered rose and Tea dye for the raspberry and coffee. I have added Salty ocean for the sea. the stamps are from Crafty Individuals, which I have colours with Distress Markers and Copic pens. The beach entrance is in fact a cup cake surround with Tim Holtz rosette die, in the ice cream colours. Main picture mounted onto Graphic paper then onto card.
Here is my creation that I will enter. Rather than just use the image of the Mona Lisa, I thought of using Da Vinci as my inspiration. I also decided to try and only use 3 main colours..... for the background I have used , Antique Linen, Old Paper and Tea Dye for Tim Holtz in the distress Stains and ink. Stenciled with abit on sequin waste and then stamped the Da Vinci stamps with Tea Dye, plus Da Vinici in black, which I have had for years, from Rubbadubbadoo, who no longer operate in the UK. I think they are now in NZ. The frame in one of the Spellbinders. I then coloured a stampbord square with versamark chalk colours then stamped Mona, a Tim Holtz stamp, with archival black. Edged the square with black pen. Mounted onto black card and main card is gold,
Tag It On #122 challenge, over @ DragonDream TIO, the ingredients . a murder of crows, blue moon and chill wind.
This is my entry. Started with Distress inks Weathered Wood and Stormy Sky for background, using abit of low tack paper for mask for the moon. Trees stamped in archival black, (Paper Artsy). The main crow ( Art Journey) stamped and embossed and 3d. Picket fence is a Tim Holtz die, as well as the flying crows. Quote is from Edgar Allen Poe.
