WOYWW-#214 No desk

Good morning all on another glorious day here in the UK, Summer has finally arrived!  I don't have a pic of my desk today but the result of a workshop I did yesterday called Faces, Figures and Fabric with Joe Beattie.  This is my finished item based on a photo of my DH when he was 11 many moons ago.  It is layers of voile then free machined.  This was the first time I actually did drawing and free machining, so lots of pressure but I did eventually have a good time.
This is my first drawing based on the photo.

Following on from last Wednesday when I told all that my Guild had won the South East Embroidery comp with our stitched book, her are some pics I managed to get.  The book is fab and very big.  Well done to all who took part.

For all details re blog hop jump over to Julia's for the T & C.

  10. Other than some lines of stitches, I've never used it in my artwork, so I'm absolutely fascinated with your portrait. The stitches added some great texture and interest to the piece, especially with the blended colors in the background. Congratulations on your guild' win!
